Chief Engineer

In support of our client, ResourceTek is now reviewing resumes for a Chief Engineer position.  Qualified applicants must pass a credit, background check and possess applicable accounting experience outlined below. 

Chief Engineer has the responsibility for varied technical work with emphasis on construction management, contract administration, design, plan review, specification writing, preparation of reports, and other work-related tasks. Conduct engineering analysis for Capital Improvement Planning including, but not limited to system capacity analysis, hydraulic modeling, and identification of future operational needs. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Vice President of Engineering and is reviewed for accuracy, results obtained, and consistency with policy through reports and conference.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Requires a relevant Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of eight years relevant experience

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT
- Must be able to use ArcGIS, scheduling, word processing, spreadsheet, and graphics software packages. Must be able to read, understand, and interpret construction drawings and contract specifications.
- Must possess ability to make decisions, make sound technical judgments, perform complex calculations, and develop and manage schedules.
- Must possess skills in quantitative analysis, problem solving, analyzing and interpreting data, and calculating figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, etc.
- Must have good communication skills, oral and written; ability to work effectively with people and maintain a professional attitude.
- Must be proactive in anticipating potential problems to keep projects moving and on schedule. Must be motivated and possess the ability to work with minimal direction while accomplishing duties of job. - - Must possess a Professional Engineering License.
- Must be able to obtain a Professional Engineering License in Georgia within six months from job start. - Must be able to obtain appropriate GSWCC Erosion and Sediment Control certification within six months from job start.
