Construction Superintendent

We are currently seeking a Construction Superintendent or Field Engineer with 5+ years of experience in construction supervision to join our client, an aerospace manufacturer, in Hancock County, Mississippi. This is a short-term 3-month contract position with our client.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Direct supervision of subcontractors performing complex construction activities at the testing site
  • Daily coordination of construction operations, labor allocation, and equipment utilization
  • Implementation of quality control measures ensuring all work meets client standards and construction documents
  • Enforcement of site safety protocols in compliance with aerospace industry requirements
  • Daily monitoring of construction progress against project schedule with proactive issue resolution
  • Technical review of construction methodologies for specialized engine testing infrastructure
  • Collaboration with client engineering teams on field issues related to testing site infrastructure
  • Maintenance of detailed daily logs, progress reports, and construction documentation
  • Field-level problem identification and resolution to maintain schedule and budget integrity
 
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field, or suitable experience with similar project scope and scale
  • 5+ years of experience in construction supervision.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising construction of complex structures and mechanical systems
  • Experience managing multiple subcontractors simultaneously
  • Knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices
  • Ability to read and interpret complex construction documents and engineering drawings
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions
  • Capable of walking, climbing, and navigating active construction sites
  • May require lifting up to 25 pounds
  • May require extended hours during critical construction phases
  • May require participation in shift operations
  • Heavy structural and mechanical background
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in aerospace, power generation, or similar industrial facilities
  • Lead construction superintendent on projects of similar scope and scale
  • Experience with launch pad, test stand, or similar specialized infrastructure construction
  • Knowledge of aerospace industry standards and requirements
  • Experience in remote or logistically challenging construction environments
  • Understanding of cryogenic systems, high-pressure piping, or specialized aerospace infrastructure
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent written and verbal communication skills
