Position Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Mechanical or Chemical Engineer with manufacturing experience for a 6-9month contract assignment supporting a critical product quality improvement initiative. This engineer will work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to investigate product quality concerns, conduct testing, troubleshoot manufacturing processes, and perform competitive product evaluations.
This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems, analyzing data, and identifying root causes to improve product performance and manufacturing reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform testing and analysis on manufactured products to identify the root cause of product quality issues.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing and production processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Design, execute, and document product testing and validation activities.
- Conduct competitive product testing and benchmarking trials to compare product performance against industry competitors.
- Analyze test data and provide recommendations for process improvements and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Operations teams to implement solutions.
- Prepare technical reports documenting findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and company standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with product testing, process troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze technical data and provide practical recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
