Maintenance Technician

In partnership with our client, a leading U.S. manufacturer of copper and aluminum building wire and cable for residential, commercial, and industrial applications, ResourceTek is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team at their Ogden, UT facility. RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Maintenance Technician, you'll help keep production equipment operating safely and efficiently by:
  • Troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery and equipment
  • Performing preventive and predictive maintenance
  • Diagnosing electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical issues
  • Installing, adjusting, and maintaining industrial machinery
  • Reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Repairing motors, conveyors, control panels, and production equipment
  • Working with PLC-controlled equipment and performing basic diagnostics
  • Welding and fabricating equipment as needed
  • Performing root cause analysis to reduce downtime
  • Working with vendors and contractors on facility repairs
  • Maintaining maintenance records and reports
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment
  • Collaborating with production, engineering, and automation teams
 
REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associate degree, apprenticeship, or technical certification preferred
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, motors, and industrial machinery
  • Basic PLC knowledge
  • Welding and fabrication experience preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics
  • Experience using measuring instruments and electrical testing equipment (voltmeter, etc.)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in hot and cold manufacturing environments
  • Must provide your own hand tools, meter, and lockable toolbox
