ResourceTek, a leader in technical support services, is currently seeking a Quality Manager for our client, a manufacturer of automotive and appliance parts. We are looking for candidates with 10+ years of quality management experience in a manufacturing environment. This is a direct hire opportunity near Dickson, TN.
This position works within the quality and engineering groups for our client. The primary job tasks will include overall quality system management, gage management, document control, and quality system maintenance.
Qualifications required:
- 10 years or more experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Creative problem solving
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Excellent computer skills
- Working knowledge of GD&T
- Understanding of TS16949, 5S and Lean Manufacturing
- Must have experience with and strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, Control Plans, FMEA’s and SPC
- Must be able to apply root cause problem solving techniques using 5-Why, 8-D’s and like approaches
- Working knowledge of statistical applications (SPC, Capability Analysis, and DOE)
- Ability to operate a CMM machine
Essential functions and responsibilities:
- Complete all work adhering to TS16949 standards
- Manages completion of required gage and check fixture calibrations
- Coordinates engineering changes ensuring documents and the quality system is updated
- Works within engineering and Customer quality departments to ensure timely completion of new launches
- Manages the Development of product process flow charts, control plans, and FMEAs as required
- Maintains part history file with updated prints and documents
- Coordinates part layouts
- Works within all areas of and has the ability to effectively communicate ideas, problems and solutions to all employees
- Manages the MPACT database as required through 8D completion or engineering changes
- Initiates and completes 8D analysis
- Conduct internal quality system audits
- Works within engineering and quality departments to complete tooling, training and documentation tasks
- Establishes a working knowledge of the clients Quality System
- Develops the ability to operate the CMM and perform gage and part layouts
- Develop Cost of Quality Matrices
