Civil, Structural, Architectural (CSA) Engineer


ResourceTek's client, a consulting engineering firm focused on providing EPC services to their customer, a global chemical manufacturing company, is seeking a Civil/Structural (CSA) Engineer will industrial manufacturing experience in the Kingsport, TN area. This will be a longterm assignemnt or direct hire starting immediately.


Acts as a staff specialist in providing technical guidance for complex or unique assignments. The incumbent must be capable of diversified knowledge of design engineering principles and practices and independently making decisions on significant design engineering problems or methods.


Responsible for technical direction over a group of engineers or specialists.


Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum, or equivalent.  


Normally requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in Civil/Structural Engineering (or equivalent working knowledge/experience). Usually referred to as a lead position. Registration as a licensed professional engineer is required. Incumbent must be cognizant of the capabilities and limitations of various computer software packages and automated engineering and design equipment to effectively direct their use for diverse engineering assignments.

•    Participates in the development of project design concepts and criteria.
•    Analyzes complex design problems requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures.
•    Consults with construction personnel concerning design constructability.
•    Monitors project progress for technical accuracy and adherence to schedule and budget.

•    Represents respective projects at meetings and conferences.
May plan, organize, and supervise design engineering activities for a project of significant size and complexly or two or more projects of moderate size and complexity.  A background that includes working with Microstation, Autocad, Prosteel and or TEKLA packages is highly desireable.
