Supply Chain Data Analyst

In support of our client, a leading provider of network software and hardware-based solutions, we are seeking a Supply Chain Data Analyst. This is a long-term contract opportunity with potential to be hired on directly.

 

JOB SUMMARY

The Supply Chain Data Analyst will support our Sales & Operations Planning Process (S&OP) by designing and developing metrics, reports, and analyses for decision makers at all levels within the company. The Supply Chain Data Analyst will act as a bridge between raw data and decision makers by extracting, analyzing, and transforming data into meaningful reports and dashboards.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Communicate with those requesting reports to help plan and prioritize tasks so that requests are either completed by agreed upon deadline or appropriate changes to the deadline have been made
  • Acquire general knowledge of the Company’s business model as well as product & service offerings.
  • Responsible for collecting and organizing data and preparing for S&OP presentations.
  • Dissect, present, and standardize filing of Horizontal Build Plan.
  • Forecast orders and build plan review to include reporting, graphing, and waterfall data collection and completion.
  • Follow company standards and procedures regarding sharing data and communicate requirements to those requesting reports.
  • Accurately extract, analyze, and transform data for various types of business reports
  • Ensure that trend tracking has a regular schedule for review of the key metric(s) to ensure that reports remain relevant and useful.
  • Monitor data and provide a feedback loop to identify changes in business trends.
  • Develop and maintain processes and program to accurately input and store data.
  • Conduct routine audits of data storage systems and databases to ensure high level of security, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Other projects and assignments may result and be assigned to accommodate the changing needs of the department and the Company.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field required.
  • 2-5 years of experience required.
  • Intermediate Microsoft skills required to include PivotTables, Graphs, If/Then/And statements, VLOOKUP’s, etc.).
  • Ability to view issues/problems from different angles and to detect patterns and abnormalities.
  • Basic understanding of business logic.
  • Fast fingers with the ability to critically review the results with a heavy focus on accuracy.
  • Experience in supply chain and/or logistics preferred
  • Preferred Software Skills: SQL
