Project Engineer

In support of our client, ResourceTek is now reviewing resumes for a Chief Engineer position.  Qualified applicants must pass a credit, background check and possess applicable accounting experience outlined below. 

Performs varied technical work including engineering design, review of plans and specifications, preparation of engineering reports, and other work-related tasks. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Vice President of Engineering. Work is reviewed for accuracy, results obtained, and consistency with policy through reports and conference.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and two years of related experience or a Bachelor’s Degree in

Engineering Technology

Five years related experience required.

  • Must have good communication skills, oral and written; ability to work effectively with people and maintain a professional attitude.. Must become familiar with and proficient at navigating Fort Benning policies, procedures, and personnel as it relates to the contract and providing customer service to the military post.

  • Must be proactive in anticipating potential problems keeping projects moving and on schedule.

  • Must be motivated and possess the ability to work with minimal direction while accomplishing duties of job.

  • Must be able to obtain Engineer-In-Training (EIT) or Engineering Intern (EI) certification within one year from job start.

  • Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of engineering required.

  • Good oral and written communication skills required.

  • Ability to perform complex calculations, and prepare cost estimates required.

  • Surveying experience and working knowledge of AutoCAD and GIS is preferred.

  • Must be able to obtain to obtain the appropriate GSWCC Erosion and Sediment Control certification within six months from job start.

  • Possession of a valid Georgia or Alabama Driver’s License and good driving record.
