Jr. Hardware Engineer

In support of our client, a global automotive supplier, we are searching for a Jr. Hardware / Testing Engineers to join their team working remotely under the direction of the company headquarters located in Nashville, TN. This is a project-based contract opportunity with an expected duration of 4-6 months. This position has the potential to be extended and/or go direct for the right candidate. Travel required - Junior level up to 60% to client sites and the headquarters in Nashville.

Our client is looking for a digital solution’s technical specialist with strong project management & reporting skills to prioritize mission critical tasks and coordinate the development and expansion of our digital solutions. This position requires ability to work in a rapidly progressing organization, understanding & identification of value proposition and pain points, tenacity and talent, sense of urgency and collaboration with internal and external partners.


Main Accountabilities


Test planning & Design of Experiment development

Perform DOEs and apply analytical techniques to solve problems and understand root causes

Participate in defining engineering approaches and in planning and scheduling work.

Ability to support engineering and integration discussions between in house and 3rd party groups

Identify data sources and methods to transform the data into useful inputs for analysis

Provide support as a subject matter expert to data scientists to identify patterns in data and how those affect systems performance and could be used for future algorithm development.

Integrate business knowledge and technical skills into specifications and technology development

Author & present regular technical communication for executive and cross-functional briefings

Support development teams as a subject matter expert for cloud-based digital solutions

Product configuration, installation, & testing: bench and field-based

Follow established procedures and best practices

Travel required - Junior level up to 60% to client sites and to the headquarters in Nashville.

Education and Key qualification


B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field, or industry experience equivalent.

0-3+ years’ experience in a product development role desired for Jr. Level candidate

Experience with hardware & software development, code repositories, documentation, and Agile methods

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and solid teamwork and leadership skills

Expertise in design, analysis, testing and validation.

Proven track record of success in roles requiring teamwork, project management and creative solutions.

Experience creating, writing, and executing DOE.

Experience with IoT & cloud-based digital solutions support, testing, and integration
